Frontend framework panel discussion

This month MKEJS is hosting a panel discussion of Frontend Frameworks. There will be representation some of the major frameworks on the panel (see below). So bring your questions and be ready to help drive the conversation.

Frameworks represented are: React, Angular, Ember, Polymer, Vue, and Elm.

Panel Members:


*React: Samuel Reed*

Samuel Reed is co-founder and CTO of BitMEX, the world's most advanced Bitcoin derivatives exchange. He is a full-stack programmer focusing on frontend development and has built applications with nearly every JS framework under the sun. Sam works freelance in his spare time and is a huge fan of Node.JS and ReactJS.

*Polymer: Brian Henzelmann*

Brian Henzelmann is currently a software engineer at Northwestern Mutual responsible for coaching engineering teams on testing and DevOps best practices. Brian is a Predix Certified Developer and has used Polymer to build 5 mico apps for GE’s manufacturing facilities. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with a BBA in Management Computer Systems, and he enjoys playing drums and bass in his church band and watching the Brewers.

*Angular: David Pine*

David Pine is a Technical Evangelist and Microsoft MVP working at Centare in Wisconsin. David loves knowledge sharing with the technical community and speaks regionally at meetups, user groups, and technical conferences. David is passionate about sharing his thoughts through writing as well and actively maintains a blog at David's posts have been featured on ASP.NET, MSDN Web-Dev, MSDN .NET and Dot Net Curry. David loves contributing to open-source projects and as another means of giving back to the community. David sat on the technical board and served as one of the primary organizers of MKE DOT NET for three years. When David isn’t interacting with a keyboard, you can find him spending time with his wife and their three sons, Lyric, Londyn and Lennyx. Follow David on Twitter at @davidpine7.

*Vue.js: Daniel Laughland*

Daniel Laughland has many years of experience with C# and JavaScript as his daily drivers and has previously been a presenter at Chicago CodeCamp. He recently left the consulting world to become a Senior Developer at Tricast, a SaaS startup working on compliance and analytics solutions for the pharmacy benefits industry. When not coding (or reading about coding), you can find him skiing, in his wood shop, or fussing over a home-brew.

*Ember: Graham De Young*

*Elm: Jason Stiebs*

Jason Stiebs is a co-founder of RokkinCat, a software consultancy based in Milwaukee. He is a full-stack programmer that has shipped front end applications in Ember, React, React/Redux, Backbone.js, jQuery, and plain old html. Jason is unhappy with the current state of the art and is searching for a better way forward, and is hoping Elm provides a path.
